Raffles University Neemrana had organised "The Legal Awareness Camp 2017"

On 10th November, 2017 Raffles University, Neemrana had organised “The legal awareness camp” under the patronage of Rajasthan State Legal Service Authority, Jaipur and District State Legal Service Authority, Alwar. The Chief Guest of the function was Mr. K.S. Jhaveri who is an Executive Chairman of Rajasthan State Legal Service Authority and Judge of Rajasthan High Court.

 

Program was started with the welcome address by Chairperson Gomber Education Foundation Justice Dr. Meena V. Gomber who gave brief introduction about the awareness of legal aid in the country. Mr. Dinesh Jaluthriya (Secretary District Legal Service Authority, Alwar) had spoken about the problems and harms of Child Marriage and Blue Whale Game and further talked about beti padhao beti bachao scheme. Further Mr. Ashok Kumar Vyas, District and Session Judge, Alwar made the students aware about the benefits of free legal aid. Mr. Mahendra Singh (District and Session Judge, Behror and Secretary Rajasthan State Legal Service Authority) talked about women empowerment, anti-raging and illegality of gender prediction test.

 

Mr. K.S. Jhaveri has thrown light upon the evolution of legal aid to citizens in India and also talked about the various Constitutional provisions related to legal aid. He also motivated students to come forward and help the citizens to make available free legal aid.

 


The function was finally concluded by Prof. Dr. V.K.Kapoor with a thanking note to all the dignitaries, guests and students present there. The other dignitaries who graced their presence in the function were Sri Ravendra Pal Singh, ADJ-I Behror, Dr. Rubina Parveen Ansaari, CJM Alwar, Smt Raina Sharma, ACJM Behror, Sri Brijesh Kumar, ACJM-I Behror, Smt Teena Sharma, JM Behror, Smt Neelam Meena, Judicial Officer Neemrana. Apart from them Panel Advocates of Legal Service Authority, Behror and Para-legal Volunteers also made their presence for the occasion.
