2nd C.L. Agrawal Moot Court Competition Hosted by School of Law, Raffles University Neemrana


The School of Law, Raffles University organized it's 2nd C.L. Agrawal Moot Court Competition from 6th to 8th April,2018 in collaboration with Rajasthan Education Trust. Students from 24 different Law Schools across India participated in this competition based on the issues of Criminal law and Family Law. The team of Tubing Dey, Amey Piley and Aditya Ladha from Symbiosis Law School, Pune, won the competition, while the team of Kanika Kalra, Manmeet Kaur and Prabhav Pachori from Law Centre -II, Faculty of Law, University of Delhi grabbed the second position.


The Inaugural Ceremony of the Moot Court competition took place on 6th April,2018 in which the registration of all the teams along with the orientation was being done. The ceremony was graced by the presence of the chief guest Hon'ble Dr. Justice Vinod Shankar Dave, former judge of Rajasthan High Court ; Guest of Honour Dr. Justice Meena V. Gomber, Chairperson, Gomber Education Foundation and Professor Dr. V.K. Kapoor, Vice Chancellor of Raffles University. They motivated the participants with their incisive thoughts to take part in the competition as the objective of organising the Moot Court competition is to gain experience in the field of advocacy which play an important role in transforming a law student in a good advocate. And in this transformation Moot Courts play a vital role. With this they wished the participants all the very best for their performance.




On 7th April,2018 all the 24 teams competed against each other in the Preliminary rounds to reach to the quarter finals. The preliminary round took place in two parts, i.e. preliminary round 1 and preliminary round 2. Out of 24 teams, 8 teams were selected for the Quarter finals on the basis of their mooting skills. 4 teams out of 8 reached semi-finals. After a vigorous battle teams from Law Centre -II  Faculty of Law, University of Delhi and Symbiosis Law School, Pune made it out for the final round.




The semifinals and finals were adjudicated by Hon'ble Mr.Parvendra Pal, Additional District Judge, Behror; Hon'ble Mr. Manoj Soni, Additional District Judge, Jaipur; Associate Professor Puneet Bafna, Amity University, Jaipur; Advocate Ashwini Kumar Chobisa, Rajasthan High Court, Advocate Subhash Bhatt and Indra Kaul Bhatt, Delhi High Court; Advocate Sajjan Raj Surana, Advocate Vivek Bajwa, Advocate Swadeep Hora.



The programme ended with valedictory and a prize distribution ceremony. The chief guests of the event was Hon'ble Mr. Justice Amitva Roy, former Supreme Court Judge; Guest of Honor, Hon'ble Mr. Justice V.S. Dave, former Rajasthan High Court judge and Hon'ble Mr. Justice S. C. Agrawal,  former Supreme Court Judge and Trustee, Rajasthan Education Trust; Hon'ble Dr. Justice Meena V. Gomber, former Rajasthan High Court Judge and Chairperson, Gomber Education Foundation inspired the students and handed over the prizes to the winning team and the runner up team and Certificates of Participation to the participant teams. Professor Dr. V.K. Kapoor, Vice Chancellor of Raffles University gave the Vote of Thanks on behalf of the University and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the teams for participating in the Moot Court competition and the students of School of Law along with the faculty members involved in organising the program successfully.

Raffles University Neemrana had organised "The Legal Awareness Camp 2017"

On 10 th November, 2017 Raffles University, Neemrana had organised “ The legal awareness camp ” under the patronage of Rajasthan State Legal Service Authority, Jaipur and District State Legal Service Authority, Alwar . The Chief Guest of the function was Mr. K.S.
